1The inaugural Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) came to a close on Sunday afternoon with a $10,000-to-win event at the lightning-fast oval. It would not prove to be the best of outings for Alberson, who once again drew a large number at the pill draw, which pinned him deep in the starting grid for a heat race. After failing to advance through the pack, Garrett started deep in a b-main and would fail to reach a transfer spot to the feature as his night and week came to an early end.

It was another tough outing for Garrett Alberson and the Deetz Motorsports team on Friday evening1 in round four of the inaugural Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona). Forty-two Super Late Models entered the event, and due to mechanical woes on his primary entry Alberson was forced to enter the program in his back-up car. Another large number at the pill draw pinned him starting at the tail of a heat race. He would fail to earn enough points in his heat to lock into the feature, and the situation only became worse in the b-main, when his powerplant expired, ending his night.

1Garrett Alberson returned to the cockpit of his familiar #43 Mastersbilt Super Late Model on Wednesday evening in the third round of the inaugural Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona). An over-watered track presented the drivers with a challenge, and unfortunately a big number at the pill draw left Alberson starting fifth on the grid for his heat race. With hammer-down track conditions present, passing was extremely difficult, and he would fail to earn enough points to lock into the feature. As a result he was relegated to a b-main. In the b-main he challenge for a transfer spot for much of the race before unfortunately falling one spot short of moving onto the feature as his night ended early.

After missing the opening round of the inaugural Winter Extreme at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) on Saturday due to attending 1the Mastersbilt Chassis setup school, Garrett returned to action on Sunday in the second round of the miniseries. Fifty Super Late Models were on hand for the $5,000-to-win event, and Garrett's outing began on a sour note, when mechanical woes in time trials forced him to scratch his own entry and move into Dave Deetz' #12a Super Late Model. With no laps in the car Alberson started on the outside front row for the first heat. He would slip back in the heat race to a sixth place finish, which left him starting eleventh in the second b-main.

In the b-main he passed seven cars to finish fourth, but with only the top three cars moving onto the feature his day came to an early end.
