The $2,000-to-win event drew a field of thirty Super Late Models to the oval, and Alberson locked into the ninth starting spot in 40-lap finale via preliminary action. Garrett ran as high as second at times in the feature, at one point challenging for the lead before settling to a third place finish behind race winner, Hunter Rasdon, and Neil Baggett. Bub McCool and Chris Wall rounded out the top five finishers.

March 2nd, 2015 - Garrett Alberson Joins Childress Racing Team in 2015
1One of the Southwest's brightest Dirt Late Model prospects, Garrett Alberson stands primed for his big break. He has been tapped as the primary drive in 2015 for the Haughton, Louisiana-based Childress Racing team.

Alberson, who got married on Saturday, will begin the next step in his Dirt Late Model career shortly after him and his new wife, Danie, return from their honeymoon next week.

"For a guy trying to do what I'm hoping to do in the racing deal, this is as good a deal as you could ever hope for," said Alberson, who is expected to debut with the Childress team during the March 20th-21st World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series doubleheader at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway (Calvert City, Kentucky), and I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).
