January 17th, 2016 - Alberson Makes All Six Features at Wild West Shootout

1On Friday night Garrett Alberson logged a 6th place heat finish transferring him into the 12-lap B-Main. Needing a 3rd place finish or better to make the show, Alberson edged his way into the main event with a 2nd place spot behind Ryan Gustin. Battling for another $5,000 payday, Garrett gained one spot scoring an 18th place finish in the 30-lapper.

Starting on the 5th row of his heat on Saturday night, Garrett came up short of a feature spot after placing 5th in his heat. Transferring the top three from the B-Main into the feature, Alberson recorded another runner-up finish behind Steve Francis. With another $5,000 payday on the line, Garrett Alberson gained four spots in the feature retiring a 17th place finish.

1Competing in the final night of action in the Wild West Shootout presented by Keyser Manufacturing, Alberson scored a runner-up heat finish behind Justin Duty securing his spot into the main event. Paying $11,000 to the feature winner on the final night, Garrett registered a 16th place finish in the 50-lap affair.

January 10th, 2016 - Garrett Alberson Reels In Top Five Finish at USA Raceway
1Kicking off the 2016 season, Garrett Alberson made the trip to USA Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) on Saturday night for the 10th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. Drawing sixty Super Late Models for the first night of six, Alberson logged a 5th place finish sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the top three into the main event, Garrett cruised to a consolation win giving him a 9th row starting sport for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Garrett Alberson worked his way up to 10th until he found a trouble after a late-race restart. Looking for a top ten finish, Garrett rolled over after a group of cars got tangled up during the restart resulting in a 14th place outing.  

1The following night in a field of fifty-seven cars, Garrett improved five spots in his heat sending him into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th row starting position. Working his way into the top five, Alberson scored a 4th place finish in the 30-lapper behind Jonathan Davenport, Jimmy Mars, and Jason Papich with Don O’Neal coming in 5th. (Tom Macht Photo)
