July 31, 2020 - 12th place finish in Hell Tour debut at La Salle Speedway
1Tuesday night found Garrett Alberson in action at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa) for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned event. Drawing 29 cars for the second series visit of the season at the quarter-mile oval, Garrett edged his way into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Alberson was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 37.

1On Wednesday evening at La Salle Speedway (LaSalle, Ill.) making his debut with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Alberson recorded the sixth fastest time in his group before placing fourth in his heat. 1Friday night saw Alberson hop behind the wheel of the Subzero Motorsports No. 140 Modified at Cedar County Raceway (Tipton, Iowa). In a field of 24 cars, Alberson posted a sixth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 17th on the starting grid for the feature. Gaining two spots in the 30-lap affair, Alberson recorded a 15th place outing.

July 26, 2020 - Alberson tops Unzicker for first win of the year at Sycamore Speedway, nets $4,000
1Garrett Alberson notched his first win of the season on Saturday at Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Ill.

Aboard the Ken & Beth Roberts-owned No. 59 Bader Construction/ Capri College/ Black Diamond Chassis Late Model, Alberson led every lap en route to the $4,000 payday.

“I can’t thank Ken and Beth Roberts enough for the opportunity they’ve given me,” said Alberson. “Thanks to this this team for all their hard work and all of our great sponsors for their continued support.”

1Garrett Alberson invaded Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday night to take part in the 10th Annual Jr. Kimler Memorial. In a field of 18 cars, Alberson followed up the 11th fastest time in his qualifying group with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in ninth, Garrett marched forward three spots to place sixth.

1The following night at Sycamore Speedway, Garrett earned the pole position for the A-Main via preliminary events. Leading flag-to-flag, Alberson soared to his first win of the season over Ryan Unzicker, Jeremiah Hurst, Taylor Scheffler, and Rich Bell. He earned a $4,000 payday for the triumph.

1On Sunday afternoon Alberson stopped at the Bullring at RICo Fairgrounds (East Moline, Ill.) piloting the Subzero Motorsports No. 140 Modified. After charging forward four spots in his heat race to place fourth, Mother Nature wiped out the A-Main before the 20-lapper was able to get underway.

July 19, 2020 - Garrett Alberson Lucas Oil doubleheader at Wheatland
1On Monday afternoon Garrett Alberson ventured to 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Truck Country 50. With 27 cars on hand, Garrett suffered a blown motor while battling for a transfer spot in his heat that brought an immediate end to his night.

1Returning to action on Friday evening, Alberson headed to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Saturday afternoon for the 28th annual Show-Me 100. Drawing 44 cars for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Lucas Oil MLRA, Alberson logged an 11th place outing in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the $20,000-to-win A-Main. Needing a third place finish or better, Garrett recorded a 12th place outing.

The following night for the CMH Diamond Nationals, Garrett timed in 14th fastest in his group before placing ninth in his heat. Rolling off 10th in his B-Main for one final shot at the $12,000-to-win finale, Alberson passed five cars to finish fifth but fell two spots shy of a transfer position.

July 2, 2020 - Alberson lands Top 5 finish in MLRA finale at Bullring at RICo Fairgrounds
1 Friday night saw Garrett Alberson kick off the Fourth of July weekend with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the 12th annual Slocum 50. Drawing 35 cars, Garrett came two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a sixth place finish, sending him into the B-Main. Notching a second place finish behind Tim Manville, Alberson locked into the 20th-starting position for the $10,555-to-win A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Garrett passed 11 cars in the 50-lapper to place ninth.

1The following night at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Independence Day Shootout, Alberson laid down the sixth fastest time overall in qualifying before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. On Sunday afternoon at the Bullring at RICo Fairgrounds (East Moline, Ill.), Garrett secured his spot into the main event with a second place finish in his heat behind Jonathan Brauns. With $6,000 on the line, Alberson jumped up one spot in the 44-lapper to place fifth behind Payton Looney, Justin Duty, Jeremiah Hurst, and Tony Toste.
