June 22, 2019 - Runner-up Finish with Louisiana Late Model Series at Chatham Speedway
1Saturday night saw Garrett Alberson in action at Chatham Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana) for the Louisiana Late Model Racing Series sanctioned program. Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the $2,000-to-win A-Main, Alberson scored a runner-up finish behind Jon Mitchell with Brandon Hightower, Brett Frazier, and Allen Tippen rounding out the Top-5.

June 1, 2019 - 5th Place Finish in Clash at the Mag Finale at Magnolia
1Thursday brought 39 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the opening night of the Geico Clash at the Mag. After coming in 3rd in his heat, Earl gained three spots in the A-Main to place 6th.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Pearson Jr. posted a 3rd place finish in his heat before coming in 9th in the 25-lap feature.

For the final night of the $15,000-to-win Geico Clash at the Mag on Saturday, Earl Pearson Jr. passed three cars in the 100-lap affair reeling in a 5th place finish behind Mike Marlar, Tim McCreadie, Jonathan Davenport, and Josh Richards.

May 18, 2019 - Top 5 Finish in TruAcre 50 at 34 Raceway
1 Garrett Alberson Jr. followed the Black Diamond Race Cars team to 34 Raceway (Burlington, Iowa) on Thursday night for the TruAcre 50. Following a 10-lap heat race win, Earl Pearson Jr. scored a 5th place finish in the opening night feature.

On Saturday night at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Truck Country 50, Pearson Jr. dropped one spot in the 50-lap feature to place 6th.

Saturday’s NAPA North Star Nationals at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) was rained out.

April 26, 2019 - EPJ Tops MLRA Action at Thunderbird Speedway
1After losing their original plans, Garrett Alberson and the Black Diamond Race Cars team traveled to Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) on Saturday for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned program. April 20, 2019 - Garrett Alberson Records 6th Place Finish in Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway
1Saturday night saw Garrett Alberson in action at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) piloting the Black Diamond Racecars House Car secondary ride for the 11th annual Slocum 50. In a field of 37 Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) entries, Alberson laid down the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 3rd in his heat. April 13, 2019 - Pearson Jr. Bags 5th Place Finish in Spring 50 at Atomic
1The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series kicked off the four-day slate on Thursday evening at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the fifth annual Buckeye Spring 50. After placing 3rd in his heat, Earl Pearson Jr. advanced through the field five positions in the feature notching a 5th place finish.

April 6, 2019 - Top 5 Finish With LOLMDS at North Georgia Speedway

Garrett Alberson and the Black Diamond Race Cars team headed to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) on Friday night following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Following a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Earl held his spot for all 50-laps of the feature to place 10th.

The following night at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia), Pearson Jr. edged his way into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat. Starting in 16th, Earl passed 11 cars reeling in a 5th place finish.

March 30, 2019 - Garrett Alberson Returns to Driver’s Seat with Pair of Podiums
1Some last-minute thrashing and some heroics behind the wheel rewarded Garrett Alberson with a pair of podium finishes over the weekend in Super Late Model competition.

Piloting Slick Swayne’s No. 1 Black Diamond Race Car Super Late Model, Alberson raced to Top-3 finishes in Mississippi and Louisiana.

“It was a fire drill kind of weekend,” Alberson laughed. “First, we thrashed on the car to get it ready at the last minute. Then, we had travel logistic issues each day that caused us to miss qualifying. As a result, we started at the back of both features. Despite all of that, we still managed to get a second and third-place finish, which felt really good.

“I want to thank Slick Swayne for the opportunity, and I look forward to racing with him again later in the season.”

Arriving late at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Friday night, Garrett started 11th on the feature grid for the $3,525-to-win, unsanctioned event. He quickly worked his way forward through the pack into the Top 5. Late in the event he applied heavy pressure to Neil Baggett for the top spot before ultimately settling for a runner-up finish. Jamey Boland, Austin Arnold and Mark Dodson completed the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday night the team was scheduled to compete in the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model event at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Unfortunately, incoming rain led to the event being canceled mid-afternoon. As a result, the team hightailed it south to Thunder Valley Speedway (Glenmora, Louisiana) for a Weekly Racing Series Event.

The team arrived in time for Garrett to start 13th in the feature. He went on to race to a third-place finish behind Robbie Stuart and Brandon Hightower.

This weekend – April 5-6 – Garrett returns to turning wrenches on Earl Pearson Jr’s. No. 1 Black Diamond Race Car as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series resumes its 2019 season. The team will compete on Friday night at 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) before heading to North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia) on Saturday night.

Earl is third in the latest LOLMDS standings.

March 16, 2019 - 8th Place Finish in Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway
1On Friday night the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returned to action at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the Buckeye Spring 50. Shortly after qualifying kicked off, Mother Nature postponed the event to April 11th.

The following night at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the Indiana Icebreaker, Earl Pearson Jr. grabbed the 4th and final transfer spot in his heat positioning him 14th on the starting grid for the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Passing six cars in the 50-lap affair, Pearson Jr. posted an 8th place finish.

February 16, 2019 - Earl Pearson Jr. Follows Speedweeks to Volusia Speedway Park for DIRTcar Nationals
1Wednesday night saw the Black Diamond Race Cars team travel to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) for the 48th annual DIRTcar Nationals. After failing to transfer out of his heat, Pearson Jr. logged a 10th place finish in his B-Main.

Returning on Thursday, Pearson Jr. dropped back to a 9th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place 3rd or better, Earl fell short with an 8th place outing.

Wrapping up the DIRTcar Nationals on Friday and Saturday, Earl came up short of transferring into both $10,000-to-win A-Main's bringing an disappointing end to his week.

February 9, 2019 - Pearson Jr. Attends Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park
1On Monday night the Black Diamond team followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) for the 43rd annual Wrisco Winternationals. After failing to transfer out of his heat, Earl came one spot short of transfer position in his B-Main forcing him to rely on a provisional into the feature. Passing two cars, Pearson Jr. reeled in an 11th place finish.

The following night, Pearson Jr. locked his spot into the 30-lap feature with a heat race win. Losing one spot, Earl notched a 2nd place finish behind Tyler Erb.

On Wednesday night, Earl improved six spots in the A-Main to place 7th.

1For the fourth round of the Winternationals on Thursday, Pearson Jr. started the night off with a heat race victory positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the feature. After jumping out to an early lead, Earl faded late to place 2nd behind Tyler Erb.

February 2, 2019 - Earl Pearson Jr. Pockets $12,000 in Super Bowl of Racing Finale at GIS
1Kicking off the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) season, Garrett Alberson returned to the Black Diamond Race Cars team as part of the crew for the Super Bowl of Racing at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia). In a field of 42 cars, Earl Pearson Jr. started the night off with a heat race win but Mother Nature delayed the 50-lap feature to Saturday. Gaining one spot, Earl posted a runner-up finish behind Tyler Erb with Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards, and Brandon Sheppard completing the Top-5 finishers.

The following night, Pearson Jr. recorded a 2nd place finish in his heat locking him into the 5th-starting position for the A-Main. Overtaking Scott Bloomquist on lap 33, Earl went on to capture his first win of the season over Jonathan Davenport, Scott Bloomquist, Tyler Erb, and Brandon Sheppard. He claimed a $12,000 payday for his triumph.

January 13, 2019 - Alberson Bags Top 10 Finish in Wild West Shootout Finale
1Garrett Alberson was one of 45 Super Late Models signed in at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Wednesday night for the second round of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. Coming one spot shy of a transfer spot in his heat with a 5th place finish, Garrett went on to pick up a 12-lap consolation victory locking his spot into the main event. With $5,000 on the line, Alberson gained three positions reeling in a 14th place outing.

After a scheduled off-day on Thursday, Garrett followed up the third fastest time in his group on Friday with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Rolling off 12th for the A-Main, Alberson dropped six spots in the 30-lapper to place 18th.

Returning on Saturday for the doubleheader, Alberson came up one spot short of a transfer spot in his heat with a 5th place finish. Needing to place 4th or better in his B-Main to make the show, Alberson landed a 2nd place finish behind Ricky Thornton Jr. positioning him 20th on the starting grid. Passing three cars, Garrett Alberson reeled in a 17th place outing.

1Later Saturday night, Alberson recorded the second fastest time in his group before placing 3rd in his heat. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in 11th, Garrett dropped one spot in the 30-lap affair to place 12th.

December 26, 2018 - Garrett Alberson Eager to Return to the Driver’s Seat; New Mexico Native Will Enter 10-12 Events with Black Diamond Race Car
1After almost a year removed from the driver’s seat, Garrett Alberson is eager to be returning to action in select events in 2019.

“After Childress Racing decided to close shop at the end of 2017 it left me ride-less for last season,” Alberson recounted. “Dave Deetz and the Kellick family gave me some opportunities early last season, but then Ronnie and Terri Stuckey gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse to crew on Earl Pearson Jr.’s car. I took advantage of that great deal and had a great time. Unfortunately, it didn’t leave me much time to do any racing.” <<MORE>>

October 28, 2018 - 3rd Place Finish in Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park
1 Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 43 Super Late Models signed in at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Friday night for the 24th annual Coors Light Fall Classic. After laying down the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Pearson Jr. posted a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Neil Baggett positioning him 6th on the starting grid for Saturday's $15,000-to-win main event. Breaking into a podium spot, Earl passed three cars in the 75-lapper to place 3rd behind Devin Moran and Brandon Overton with David Breazeale and Tyler Erb completing the Top-5 finishers.
