11th Place Finish with Lucas Oil eSports Series at Kokomo Speedway
Garrett Alberson was one of 54 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand at the (virtual) Lernerville (PA) Speedway on Monday afternoon for another round of the iRacing Invitational. Jumping up one spot in his heat race, Alberson posted a sixth place finish, sending him into the B-Main. Needing a third place finish or better to make the $1,000-to-win A-Main, Garrett came two spots shy with a fifth place outing.
During the same night at the (virtual) Lernerville (PA) Speedway, Alberson entered the two-day ML Performance iRacing Crown Jewel Series event. With prelims on Monday setting the grid for the 100-lap feature on Tuesday, Garrett laid down the 13th fastest time in his group before placing eighth in his heat race. Coming in second in his B-Main, Alberson locked into the 22nd-starting position for the iRaceWraps preliminary feature. Locking in the Top 8 into Tuesday night’s finale, Garrett was an early retiree from the 25-lapper.
Starting in 10th in his B-Main on Tuesday night for one final shot at the 100-lap A-Man, Garrett fell two spots short of a transfer position with a sixth place finish.
On Friday night for the Lucas Oil eSports Series event at the (virtual) Kokomo (IN) Speedway, Alberson came in 13th fastest in time trials before placing third in his heat. Earning the 13th-starting position for the feature, Garrett improved two spots in the 75-lap affair to place 13th.
For another round of the ML Performance iRacing Crown Jewel Series at the (virtual) Fairbury (IL) Speedway on Friday, Alberson locked his spot into the main event on Saturday night with a second place finish in his preliminary feature behind Huey Quillen.
Rolling off eighth for the $250-to-win A-Main, Garrett dropped seven spots in the 100-lapper to place 15th.
