Top-10 finish in Dirt Late Model Dream prelim at Eldora

With the 124-car field split into two groups for a pair of $12,000-to-win preliminary features, Alberson failed to record a lap in his time trial session after tagging the wall. Following a 12th-place finish in his heat, Garrett passed five cars in his B-Main to finish ninth.

Later Thursday evening for heat races leading up to the Eldora Million, Garrett passed 11 cars in his heat race to finish sixth, relegating him into the B-Main for another shot at the $1,002,022-to-win A-Main. Transferring the top-two, Alberson came one spot short with a third-place outing.

On Friday afternoon as the 28th annual Dirt Late Model Dream got underway with a pair of prelims, Alberson timed in 22nd-fastest in his 57-car group before placing fourth in his eat race. With $12,000 on the line in the feature, Garrett gained five spots in the 25-lapper to finish ninth.

Earning the fifth-starting position for the his heat race on Saturday, Alberson posted a fifth-place finish, sending him into the B-Main for one final shot at the $128,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream. Needing to place second or better, Garrett came one spot short with a third-place finish.
