Garrett Alberson marches to 10th-place finish with World of Outlaws at Talladega
Roberts Motorsports and Garrett Alberson invaded Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the opening round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries.
After getting shuffled back to an eighth-place finish in his heat race, Garrett was involved in an early tangle in his B-Main that brought an early end to his night.
For another $23,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event on Wednesday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.), Alberson missed a transfer spot by one car in his heat, relegating him into a B-Main. Sending the top-two into the feature, Garrett fell short with a fourth-place outing.
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) weekend in Illinois already rained out, Alberson headed to 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tenn.) on Thursday for the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Seymour Showdown. Earning the 21st-starting position for the $20,000-to-win A-Main via a third-place finish in his B-Main, Garrett gained two spots to finish 19th.
In a field of 62 World of Outlaws entries on Friday at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) for the two-day Alabama Gang 100, Alberson recorded an eighth-place finish in his 20-lap preliminary feature.
With the front three rows for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win main event already set, Garrett raced his way into the show with a consolation victory after failing to qualify in his heat. Wheeling his way into the top-10 in the feature, Alberson passed 11 cars in the 60-lap affair to register a 10th-place finish.
